Chef Céline Callejon was born and raised in the Rhône-Alpes Region of France. She earned a Masters’ Degree from the Université Jean Moulin in Lyon. Céline completed her studies at the University of Austin, Texas before making her way to the Bay Area where she started her culinary career in Berkeley, Ca.
Céline’s cooking is influenced by French, Spanish and Italian cuisines as well as California’s diverse cultures adding South American and Asian flavors to her dishes. For the last few years, she has put her talents to work for University Retirement Community in Davis where she expanded the culinary program and created memorable meals for the residents.
Chef Céline is always sharing her love for food with her family and friends. She enjoys experimenting with new dishes and techniques in the comfort of her home in West Sacramento. Her wife Melana is her biggest critic and supporter in the kitchen. Céline is an avid homebrewer and a CrossFit enthusiast. She believes that nutrition is key to healthy living and therefore focuses on local, seasonal and natural ingredients in her cuisine.
Chef Céline is excited to start her own venture in West Sacramento with Épicée where she puts her love of cooking, nutrition and diverse culinary knowledge to work for the community.
